Samsung Display and LG Display have begun mass production of OLED displays for Apple’s upcoming M5 iPad Pros, reports DigiTimes (a subscription is required to read the article).
The upcoming tablet update is expected to pack the more powerful processor. Beyond that, no design changes are planned.
According to the rumor mill, the next big change to the iPad will be a foldable version. Reports suggest Apple is developing an 18.8-inch “iPad Fold,” potentially launching by 2027 or 2028 (though some pundits think it might arrive in 2026). This device is rumored to feature a foldable OLED display and under-display Face ID, and may blur the lines between iPad and MacBook.
