If you’re looking for excellent open-ear headphones, the SoundCore AeroFit 2 from Anker offer excellent features at a good price (US$99 at Amazon).
They’re 100% wire-free earbuds with an”open” design and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless music listening and phone calls. The way they fit lets you hear your surroundings while doing your daily activities.
Buttons on the earpieces make it easy to control music and calls while you’re on the move. The AeroFit 2 sports touch controls for music, volumes, and calls. Built-in rechargeable batteries offer eight-plus hours of use, while the carrying case allows for up to 32 hours of power. The open-ear headphones work with a free-to-download Soundcore app, which is easy to use for customizing your sound preferences.
As mentioned, the AeroFit 2 have a great price point when compared to similar type earbuds. Set-up is easy thanks to clear instructions. I was using them within fife minutes of opening the box.
The AeroFit 2 are so comfortable, I forgot I had them on and walked into a restaurant with them on). The open-ear headphones are designed with four adjustments, so can be tweaked for a variety of ear sizes. They have good quality sound for music, though the bass response not as strong as in-ear buds.
I only found a new “cons” about the AeroFit 2. The sound quality doesn’t match in-ear and over-ear devices. And the battery status can only be monitored through the app, which is somewhat inconvenient. Finally, with the clip-on design, the AeroFit doesn’t always stay in place during physical activity.
Despite some niggling concerns, I’ve been really impressed with the comfort and sound quality of the AeroFit 2.
