Microsoft Introduces External Camera Support for iPads in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft has introduced external camera support for iPads in Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft has introduced external camera support for iPads in Microsoft Teams.  The company says the setup is straightforward:

  1. Connect your camera: Plug your external camera into your iPad’s USB-C port.
  2. Join your meeting: You can connect your camera either before or during a Teams meeting.
  3. Disconnect camera: To switch back to the default iPad camera, disconnect the camera from your iPad

You should note that, currently, there are no native or Microsoft Teams controls to switch between your iPad’s built-in camera and an external camera. Teams will default to the connected external camera when one is plugged in.
