Future Apple Vision Pros could have easily exchangeable head bands

A newly granted Apple patent shows that Vision Pros could be used with easily exchangeable head bands. Different bands could provide different functions or offer more comfort features.

A newly granted Apple patent shows that Vision Pros could be used with easily exchangeable head bands. Different bands could provide different functions or offer more comfort features.

Apple’s patent filing involves a Vision Pro with attachable and exchangeable bands that provide a variety of different components and functions to achieve the results that are desired by a user. Apple says the choice of a certain band can influence operation of the wearable electronic device in a variety of ways.

For example, the Vision Pro can respond to the identification of a particular band by performing particular functions, such as changing an aspect of a user interface or altering settings of the wearable electronic device. Such functions can be readily executed by the wearable electronic device upon identification of the band, such that user input is not required. Accordingly, “a user’s experience with the wearable electronic device can be enhanced based on the user’s selection of a particular band,” Apple says.
