Report claims the average iCloud email address has been breached 9.7 times

When cybercriminals steal a company’s data, customers’ personal information can be exposed — and people with certain email providers are more susceptible to being involved in these breaches than others.

That’s according to a new study from Mailsuite which analyzed email breaches to find which email providers are most commonly found in breaches The report claims that the average iCloud email address has been breached 9.7 times. That compares to 80 breaches for Gmail.com, 74.2 for Yahoo.com, 67.7 for Hotmail.com, 14.6 for @mail.com, 9.5 for Outlook.com, and 4.6 for @gmx.com.

Other highlights from the report:

° Bob is the male name with the highest rate of email breaches, with an average of 180 breaches per Bob-themed email address.

° Maria is the female name with the highest rate of email breaches, with an average of 115.3.

° Ali is the surname with the highest rate of email breaches, and @gmail.com is the most commonly breached email provider.
