The TAIM is a luxury purchase, but its convenient for those traveling with Mac laptops

BAIR’s TAIM, a tech accessory that’s a cable organizer and more, is unnecessary, but it’s a convenient gadget to have if you US$40 to spare.

BAIR’s TAIM, a tech accessory that’s a cable organizer and more, is unnecessary, but it’s a convenient gadget to have if you US$40 to spare.

It’s made of custom Merino wool felt, an elastic band, and a bronze finish machined metal “grab tab.” The TAIM manages cables and is designed to enhance your workspace’s aesthetics. That it does.

Also, it’s conveniently offered in two sizes that are tailored to fit all current single-port USB-C Apple MacBook power adapters and designed with future models in mind. TAIM works by allowing you to wrap the Mac laptop’s power cable around its charging block to be stowed away tangle free.

By attaching snugly onto the body of the charging block, it captures the wrapped cable with a durable elastic band and is held firm on the end by a Velcro hook & loop attachment. The design also features the aforementioned solid machined metal “grab tab” to instantly identify the cord release end of the elastic retention band. You just simply pull the tab, and let your cable drop free when you’re ready to work.

Do you need the TAIM? Probably not. Will you want one? If you travel a lot with a Mac laptop, probably. It’s a luxury purchase, but is pretty convenient for dealing with the laptop’s power block (though you should know that it doesn’t work with dual port charging blocks).
