The Apple Games app is an all-in-one hub for discovering games, tracking achievements, and playing with friends.
Automatically installed with your latest operating system update, it replaces the standalone Game Center app by bringing together all your App Store and Apple Arcade titles in a single dashboard. Let’s look at how to use ti.
1. The Home Tab
Think of this as your personalized gaming command center. At the very top, a scrolling carousel shows the latest events and news from titles you play. Below that, you can pick up right where you left off in your Recent Games, see what your friends are currently playing, and browse personalized game recommendations.
2. The Apple Arcade Tab
If you subscribe to Apple Arcade, this dedicated tab serves as a stylish storefront. You can browse new releases, check out exclusive Apple Arcade events, and download games to your device without leaving the app.
3. The Play Together Tab
This social hub is designed for multiplayer and friendly competition. Use it to track active challenges, view leaderboards, jump directly into multiplayer sessions, and invite friends to matches.
4. The Library Tab
The Library acts as an organizer for all the games on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. You can filter your collection by categories like “New Downloads,” track achievements, and easily redownload games you’ve uninstalled in the past.
5. Managing Your Profile and Settings
To view and edit your profile:
- In the App: Tap your avatar in the corner to see your Game Center achievements and friends. Tap Edit Profile to change your nickname, avatar, or Memoji.
- Privacy: To choose who sees your game activity or to make your profile private, go to Settings > Game Center (on iPhone/iPad) or Apple menu > System Settings > Game Center (on Mac)
