How to rearrange your apps in grid view in watchOS 26

You can rearrange your apps in grid view in watchOS.

I find the default grid view that shows all your apps in watchOS 26 to be too cluttered. To rearrange your apps on your Apple Watch, you must be in Grid View, as the List View sorts apps alphabetically.

You can customize the layout directly on your watch or use the companion Watch app on your iPhone. Here’s how:

On Your Apple Watch

To move your apps directly from your wrist:

  1. Press the Digital Crown to open the app screen.
  2. Touch and hold any app icon until all of your apps begin to wiggle (enter Edit mode).
  3. Drag the app you want to a new location.
  4. Press the Digital Crown again to save your new layout and stop the wiggling

Using Your iPhone

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the My Watch tab.
  3. Tap App View, then select Arrangement.
  4. Touch, hold, and drag any app icon to reposition it.
