The Accent color in macOS used throughout the user interface for menus, buttons, active form fields and more. By default, this is blue. However, you can change it.
Here is how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen and select System Settings.
- Click Appearance in the left-hand sidebar.
- Locate the Color (or Theme) setting.
- Choose from the preset colors (like Blue, Purple, or Green) or click Other to pick a custom hue using the color picker.
- Optional: You can also independently set your Text highlight color in this menu to customize the look of selected text
