iRacing has announced that, through a collaboration with Apple and NVIDIA, its motorsport simulation will be available on Apple Vision Pro later this spring.

“We’re thrilled to have worked with Apple and NVIDIA to bring iRacing to Apple Vision Pro,” said iRacing president Tony Gardner. “With the ultra-high-resolution capabilities of Apple Vision Pro and the power of NVIDIA’s RTX GPU, this new spatial experience puts our users in the driver’s seat with a level of immersion and fidelity never before seen in sim racing.”

He said iRacing for Apple Vision Pro utilizes foveated streaming to render the sharpest content in the driver’s direct line of sight. “Apple Vision Pro delivers a uniquely immersive sim racing experience by seamlessly blending your racing rig with the virtual cockpit, aligning your physical steering wheel with the one in-game,” Gardner said. “iRacers see their physical hands on the wheel, producing an unparalleled experience that ensures racers remain visually connected to their racing rig while using Apple Vision Pro.”

To enable this experience, the iRacing software features deep technical integration of CloudXR. Physics calculations and high-fidelity graphic rendering is performed on a PC equipped with NVIDIA’s RTX GPU, while frames are encoded and shared wirelessly over Wi-Fi to iRacing Connect on visionOS.

iRacing is a motorsport simulation that boasts hundreds of the world’s top cars and tracks across globally relevant racing disciplines, worldwide online multiplayer championships, and highly realistic physics. iRacing works with licensed vehicle partners like the FIA, NASCAR, INDYCAR, IMSA, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, and Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, among many others, to bring their iconic racing machines to life. iRacing on Apple Vision Pro further highlights the nuances of each car and track to make the simulation experience more realistic than ever before, Gardner said.

Those who wish to try out iRacing will need an Apple Vision Pro running visionOS 26.4, a PC with an Nvidia graphics card model 4070Ti+ or 5070Ti+ running driver version 580+, and a Wi-Fi 6+ enabled router capable of over 1000Mbps on the 5Ghz band.
