Your Vision Pro may one day be able to control a variety of electronic devices. Apple has filed for a patent for “Controlling Devices Using a Wearable Device.”
In the patent filing, Apple says some electronic devices such as head-mounted devices may be wirelessly paired with additional electronic devices. However, it may be difficult to control the additional electronic devices.
Apple’s patent filing involves using “gaze input” and camera images to determine if the Apple Vision Pro user is looking at an external device. Said device may receive information regarding the user’s gaze input from the spatial computer.
It may then highlight one out of multiple user interface elements that is targeted by the gaze input. The Vision Pro may receive input such as keystroke information from an accessory device and relay the input to an external electronic device that is being viewed.
What’s more, the spatial computer may receive a display configuration request, determine layout information for displays in the physical environment of the head-mounted device. It could then transmit the layout information to an external device associated with the displays.
