How to use Live Translation in Messages in watchOS 26

In watchOS 26, you can use Live Translation in the Messages app to automatically translate conversations.

In watchOS 26, you can use Live Translation in the Messages app to automatically translate conversations.

You do this by opening a chat, tapping the contact’s name, and turning on “Automatically Translate.” When you receive a message in a different language, a prompt appears to activate this feature, translating both incoming and outgoing messages in real time, with the option to see the original text.

Here are the steps:

°  Open a conversation in the Messages app on your Apple Watch, tap the contact’s name or number at the top, and turn on the “Automatically Translate” toggle.

° Select the language to translate from and to, which may require downloading the language packs.

° To see the original text, tap the language icon at the bottom of the conversation.

° Tap the contact’s name at the top of the chat and toggle “Automatically Translate” off, or select “Stop Translating.”
