Apple is considering a radical redesign for the 20th anniversary iPhone that could feature a completely bezel-less display that curves around all four edges of the device, according to Weibo-based leaker Digital Chat Station — as noted by MacRumors.
The tech giant purportedly wants Samsung to provide it with a an equal-depth quad-curved panel design that uses “micro-curves” to keep the curve very shallow. This is opposed to the aggressively curved “waterfall” edges of some existing Samsung panels.
As for the 20th anniversary iPhone, it will feature a radical new curved design with slimmer bezels, according to the X user “@phonefuturist.” The post calls the iPhone the “iPhone XX” and says it will sport a convex display glass curving down at the edges to meet a slim, iPhone X-like polished frame.
