Upcoming version of Siri may allow users to ask several questions at once

Apple’s updated version of Siri that should this year may allow users to ask several questions at once, reports Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman (a subscription is required to read the article).

The feature is likely to arrive win iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. All will almost certainly be announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in June and arrive for end users in September or October.

“The feature would let users combine requests — for example, asking Siri to check the weather, create a calendar appointment and send a message — all within a single prompt,” Gurman says. “Siri currently requires users to make requests individually, making it a laggard in the AI space.”

He has previously reported that Apple plans to add an Extensions system to Siri that would allow the integration of other AI chatbots.

Also, Apple now has permission to “distill” Google’s Gemini model to customize it for Siri and other AI features, reports The Information (a subscription is required to read the entire article).

Google has given Apple “complete access” to customize Gemini or create smaller models for specific tasks, the article says. For example, the tech giant can build design models that can run on is devices without having to connect to the Internet.
