Analyst predicts we’ll see a MacBook Neo with touch screen in 2027

Analyst Ming Chi-Kuo predicts we’ll see a MacBook Neo with a touch screen in 2027.

Apple debuted the MacBook Neo last week. However, the company is already looking toward the second version, which could have a touchscreen, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The Sellers Research Group is dubious; I think such screens will start with higher end Macs and trickle down to lower priced items). However, Kuo predicts we’ll see a touchscreen MacBook Neo in 2027.

He says that Apple has been discussing the specs of a second gen MacBook Neo since September 2025. In addition to a touchscreen, he thinks the second gen of the laptop will (no surprise) pack a faster processor such as the A19 Pro with 12GB of memory.
