Don’t look for a MacBook Air with an OLED display until 2028 or 2029, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says in an X post.
Previously, he’s predicting that such an upgrade would arrive later this year. He hasn’t offered a reason for the delay. But I’d guess that, if he’s right, the delay is an effort to keep pricing down with memory prices skyrocketing.
Kuo is still expecting a MacBook Pro with an OLED display to roll out in late 2026 or early 2027. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman thinks this laptop will be dubbed the “MacBook Ultra.” It will likely be Apple’s most expensive laptop ever.
