New references uncovered in macOS 26.3 reveal references to two new Studio Display models, notes 9to5Mac. Hopefully, they’ll be unveiled during the first week of March.
However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has said it’s unclear if the updated displays will offer a larger size option or a lower-end version. Why not both?
I’d love to see a “Studio Display Pro” with an OLED display and ProMotion support. ProMotion is Apple’s name for its adaptive, high refresh rate of 120Hz. The current display only has a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Of course, that display would be expensive. Apple could also offer a less expensive 24-inch Studio Display at the current 60Hz. The company could also keep the current model in its line-up. After all, Apple offers multiple Mac, iPhone, and iPad models, so why not three external display options?
Apple has announced announced a “special Apple Experience” in New York, taking place on March 4 at 9 am. The current theory is that the tech giant will release new products on March 2, 3, and 4, and offer journalists some hands-on time with the new products at the “Experience.” The popular theory is that Apple will unveil the iPhone 17e on Monday, March 2, announced updated iPads and iPad minis on Tuesday, March 3, and give us major Mac announcements on Wednesday.
