How to deal with WiFi issues on your iPhone or iPad

Having WiFi issues on your iPhone or iPad? Try these steps:

Initial Checks:

Ensure Wi-Fi is on and you are in range of the router.

Turn off Airplane Mode.

Check for a “No Internet Connection” alert under the network name.

Remove your iPhone case, as it may cause signal interference.

Basic Fixes:

Restart your iPhone or iPad.

Restart your modem and router.

Toggle Wi-Fi off and on in Settings.

Network & Software Settings:

Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the information button (i) next to your network, and select “Forget This Network,” then reconnect.

Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This clears Wi-Fi networks/passwords, cellular settings, and VPN/APN settings.

Disable VPN or third-party security software temporarily to check if it’s causing the issue.

Update your iPhone or iPad to the latest iOS or iPadOS version.

Advanced Troubleshooting:

Check if the router supports Apple products and has the latest firmware.

If using a VPN, check the app settings for conflicts.

Try connecting in a different location to rule out a local network issue.

If problems persist, contact Apple Support or your Internet service provider.
