Samsung is now producing panels for an upcoming MacBook Pro with OLED display, according to the leaker “yeux1122.”
He/she says the company “has started mass production of the 8.6 generation OLED for the first time in the world.” I’d love to see it sooner, but we’re not likely to see a MacBook Pro with an OLED display before the fall, at the earliest.
Apple is expected to roll out pro laptops with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors soon — perhaps as soon as January 28. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has repeatedly said an OLED MacBook Pro won’t arrive until at least later this year. He expects the laptop to have a thinner design than the current version.
Gurman also thinks it will be the first Mac with a touch screen. And, if we’re lucky, perhaps it will be the first Mac with cellular connectivity.
