How to use the hypertension notifications in watchOS 26

The Control Center in tvOS 26 gives you quick access to settings and controls for switching users, playing music, accessing HomeKit cameras and scenes, putting Apple TV to sleep, and more.

FDA-cleared hypertension notifications are now available on the Apple Watch. To use watchOS 26 Hypertension Notifications:

  1. On your iPhone, open the Health app.
  2. Tap your profile picture/initials, then select Health Checklist under Features.
  3. Tap Set Up under Hypertension Notifications.
  4. Confirm your age (22+) and confirm you haven’t been diagnosed with hypertension (as it’s for potential new cases).
  5. Start Monitoring: Tap Done. Your watch begins a 30-day period analyzing heart data for patterns indicative of hypertension.

This analyzes heart data for patterns suggesting high blood pressure, then log readings with a cuff and share with your doctor if alerted, as the watch doesn’t measure BP directly but looks for patterns.
