With tvOS 26.2, Apple TV began showing a user profile selection screen every time the Apple TV set-top box was turned on.
The goal was to help households with multiple users have separate viewing histories and recommendations. If you don’t like the feature, here’s how to turn it off:
° Open Settings on your Apple TV.
° Choose Profiles and Accounts.
° Toggle off Choose Profile on Wake.
Now your Apple TV will skip the profile selection screen go directly to the Home Screen when you wake it.
