ESR’s $69.9 OmniLock Magnetic Car Charger (25W) is a good accessory for folks who need a Qi2.2 Certified Fast Charging device for our iPhones that’s usable in cars.
It’s equipped with CryBoost phone cooling technology so your smartphone charges without ever heating up. That’s never been a problem for me, but my wife has had issues with her iPhone getting toasty while it’s charging.
I prefer car charger mounts that have other attachment methods besides insertion into an air vent, which is my biggest complaint about ESR’s solution. However, if you don’t mind air vent models, this one has good stability. Its 1,600 g magnetic lock and shock-absorbing vent clamp keeps your phone secure on all but the roughest routes — and the iPhone snaps on easily.
The OmniLock comes with a 58W adapter and a triple-ball joint that offers 360° rotation for the a variety of viewing angles. Note that it’s only for iPhones with MagSafe (iPhone 12 series or later) and phones with Apple or ESR magnetic cases, or with the ESR Universal Ring included for non-magnetic phones or cases.
