Scoshe’s MagicMount Pro Charge 25W is my new favorite iPhone car mount

I’ve had a lot of fine iPhone mounts in my time, but  Scosche’s new US$59.99 MagicMount Pro Charge 25W is my new favorite iPhone car mount.

I’ve had a lot of fine iPhone mounts in my time, but  Scosche’s new US$59.99 MagicMount Pro Charge 25W is my new favorite iPhone car mount.

It’s designed for Apple’s iPhone models that sport a built-in circle of magnets as part of Apple’s proprietary MagSafe system. These magnets allow these models of Apple’s smartphones to attach to MagicMount mounts straight from the box without having to use a  MagicPlate.

Plus, the MagicMount Charge Pro (pictured) not only secures your iPhone, but charges it as well.

The folks at Scosche say that “extra powerful Rare-Earth neodymium magnets are 30% stronger magnets than our standard MagicMounts and are 100% mobile device safe.”

The MagicMount Charge Pro is a 5-in-1 flexible device with a swing arm and multiple placement options. It’s great for center-mounted screens with peel-and-stick or vent-clip installation.

I primarily use it as a window/dash mount as I can easily position my iPhone on it for hands-free use in my car.

With its 6-inch, 190-degree rotating arm, it’s great for  deep dashboards.

However, you don’t have to have the MagicMount Charge Pro attached to a charge mount. It’s well balanced, so works just fine as a stand-alone device for use on, for example, a desk, night stand, or kitchen table.

For non-charging setups, there’s the Magic Mount MS. It has the dash/vent and 5-in-1 mounts as the Charge Pro. However, it also sports a CD mount that Installs directly into your vehicle’s CD slot for stable, central mounting without blocking air vents or controls.
