The MacBook Pro is expected to receive an OLED display in 2026, but it may be limited to the M6 MacBook Pro and the M6 MacBook Max, not the “regular” M6 MacBook, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says in his latest “Power On” newsletter.
However, all M6 models will purportedly get a new, thinner redesign. It’s also possible that they could have the first Mac touchscreen and the first Mac with cellular options.
The M6 MacBook Pro laptops are expected in the last half of 2026 or early 2027. However, Gurman says models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips (but no redesign) will arrive early next year.
