You can now add folders to your iPad’s Dock in iPadOS 26, which is very convenient. There are two methods to do this. Let’s look at them.
Method 1: Drag and Drop
- Open the Files app to locate the folder you want to add.
- Tap and hold the folder, then drag it to the right side of the Dock, just before the App Library icon.
- Release your finger to drop the folder into the Dock.
Method 2: Use the “Add To” Menu
- Open the Files app and navigate to the folder you want to add.
- Touch and hold the folder until a context menu appears.
- Tap “Add To” and then select “Dock” from the options.
Customize the folder’s view
- Once the folder is in the Dock, you can change how its contents are displayed.
- Long-press on the folder icon in the Dock and choose between “Fan” view or “Grid” view from the menu.
- You can also use options like “Sort by” to organize the files within the folder icon.
