Tech21’s iPhone 17 cases are fine, but not outstanding

Tech21's EvoPro

Tech21 has released a series of iPhone cases, all of which are decent enough, but nothing truly special.

I’ve tested two My favorite of the two is the US$59.99 EvoPro, which combines FlexShock technology with 21x military-grade strength, good “grippability,” and 32.8 foot multi-drop protection. I’m not aware of any other iPhone case that boasts that much drop protection. It comes with a lanyard, which some folks may find handy (I don’t). The EvoPro provides both rugged grip and style.

However, the case has mechanical buttons overlaying the iPhone’s buttons. I realize that this is for added protection, but I don’t like the feel of the case’s buttons. Also, the EvoPro hides the iPhone’s design, something I personally don’t like.

Apple World Today rating (out of 5 stars): ★★★★

The US$39.95 EvoCheck is a case that also features FlexShock, 15x military-grade strength, and 16-foot multi-drop protection. It’s a relatively stylish option that doesn’t compromise on safety while still offering scratch resistant.

However, it also has the mechanical buttons that I don’t like and also hides the iPhone’s design. Plus, it doesn’t have as much drop protection as the EvoPro.
