How to keep track of events like a flight, rideshare, or sports game from the macOS Tahoe menu bar

In macOS Tahoe, real-time event updates like flights, rideshares, and sports scores are displayed in the menu bar as Live Activities from a nearby iPhone.

Simply click on a Live Activity to expand it, view more details, or open the corresponding app on your iPhone using iPhone Mirroring to take action without leaving your Mac.

Here’s how to use it:

  1. Ensure iPhone Mirroring is enabled: on your Mac.
  2. Start an event: like a flight tracking app, a rideshare service, or a sports app on your iPhone.
  3. Look for the event: to appear as a Live Activity in your Mac’s menu bar.
  4. Click the Live Activity: to see more information or open it in iPhone Mirroring.
  • Live Activities seamlessly integrate with your iPhone, creating a connected experience between your devices.

  • And you can eExpand the Live Activity to get more detailed information or use iPhone Mirroring to take action within the app, like pausing a video or confirming your order.
