You can add widgets to your desktop in macOS Tahoe. This allows you to keep your favorite apps front and center.

You can add a Photos widget to your desktop to see photos from an album or a memory. You can add a Podcasts widget to keep your favorite shows on queue. To add widgets to your desktop:

° Click the date or time at the top right of the screen to open Notification Center.

° Click Add Widgets to open the widget gallery to add, remove, or rearrange widgets.

Now you can drag new widgets anywhere on your desktop or in Notification Center. And you can control-click a widget to change its size
