UltraBrite Hex Lights offer an expandable lighting system at a reasonable price

UltraBrite Hex Lights offer an expandable lighting system at a reasonable price.

Enbrighten says its UltraBrite Hex Lights “bring serious brightness – and serious style – to garages, home gyms, workshops, and more.”

“More” can also include a home office or rooms in a resort center some friends of mine are planning. And the lights won’t clean out your checking account.

The UltraBrite Hex Lights have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$159.99. That’s a reasonable amount to pay for the modular LED lighting kit. The kit includes 24 ultra-bright light bars (1,000 lumens each), so the cost is less than $7 per bar.

The 5000K white lights deliver task lighting with three brightness levels, which you can control via RF remote or wall switch.

Installation

Installing the UltraBrite Hex Lights takes a bit of time and patience, but it’s worth it as the modular setup lets you create customizable configurations to fit your specific space.

Installation is fully customizable too – choose plug-in, direct wiring, or screw into an existing fixture using the included E26 adapter.

Mounting is simplified thanks to pre-installed tape and self-anchoring screws. And if you want even more light, you can link up to 50 bars (though you’ll have to pay for the extra kits). Patent-pending connectors snap together setup in a variety of hexagon or linear layouts.

I’ve had no issues at all with the lights. However, you should note that some users have reported interference with garage door openers when lights are left on.

The UltraBrite Hex Lights are available now at Amazon, EnbrightenMe.com, and Costco.
