Some iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air models on display at Apple Stores purportedly show scratches

Apple says scratches on some displayed iPhones in its retail stores are due to imperfections in worn MagSafe stands.

Some iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air models on display at Apple Stores are already showing scratches, according to Bloomberg

The scratches appear to be most prominent on models with darker finishes, including the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max in Deep Blue, and the iPhone Air in Space Black. This concerns me a bit, as I’ve ordered an iPhone 17 Pro Max in Deep Blue. I’ll keep you posted on how easily (or not) my smartphone scratches.

The latest iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPod Pros arrived in Apple retail stores today.
