As noted by MacRumors, a leaker known as Majin Bu has shared images of an alleged battery pack for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air.
A source told Majin Bu that the L-shaped battery pack will have a capacity of around 2,900 mAh. That tracks with previous rumors indicating that the iPhone 17 Air’s battery capacity will be in the 2,800 mAh to 3,000 mAh range.
Look for the iPhone 17 line-up to arrive in September or October. As for the Air, Weibo-based leaker Fixed Focus Digital claims that the regular iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Air WON’T feature ProMotion displays.
The feature has been limited to the Pro models since it debuted on the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max in 2021. However, previous rumors have said that Apple will bring the tech to the base iPhone 17 model, as well as the new iPhone 17 Air that replaces the Plus model in the lineup.
Look for the new iPhones to arrive in September or October. As for ProMotion, it’s a display technology that allows for adaptive refresh rates on their devices, primarily the iPad Pro and some iPhone Pro models. This technology offers smoother scrolling, greater responsiveness, and enhanced motion content, especially when viewing high-frame-rate video.
