How to turn off hold to auto call in iOS 16

You can change the setting in iOS 16 so that holding the side button on your iPhone won’t call emergency services automatically. Here’s how:

  1. Open Settings: Locate and open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Navigate to Emergency SOS: Scroll down and tap on “Emergency SOS”.
  3. Toggle Off: Find the “Call with Hold and Release” option and switch it off. If you turn off this setting, you can still use the Emergency SOS slider to make a call.

By turning off this feature, you can avoid accidental emergency calls triggered by accidentally pressing the buttons
