Apple is planing to use AI-powered battery management for iOS 19, reports Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman (a subscription is required to read the entire article).
He says artificial intelligence will be analyze how you use your iPhone and make proper adjustments to reduce battery usage. The battery option part of an Apple Intelligence suite of features, Gurman says. He also adds that Apple is working to make iOS less “glitchy.”
“Besides the AI additions and interface changes, Apple is pushing engineers to ensure that this year’s releases are more functional and less glitchy,” he writes. “Past upgrades were criticized for bugs and features that sometimes didn’t work properly.”
iOS 19, along with updates to iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS will be previewed at June’s Worldwide Developer Conference, which will run June 9-13. They’ll likely be available to users sometime around September.
