Rumor says upcoming version of watchOS will get a visionOS-like redesign

An upcoming version of watchOS may get a visionOS-like redesign to the Apple Watch, much like the design updates coming in iOS 19 and macOS 16.

An upcoming version of watchOS will bring a visionOS-like redesign to the Apple Watch, much like the design updates coming in iOS 19 and macOS 16, according to the Israeli site The Verifier (as noted by MacRumors).

The article says the Apple Watch operating system will eventually add elements of visionOS, including a look that is bolder, slightly transparent, and with a floating aesthetic. The Verifier doesn’t specify when we’ll see such changes, but, if the article is correct, they could be unveiled at June’s Apple Worldwide Developer Conference, when new versions of watchOS, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS will almost certainly be previewed

The Verifier also says Apple is working on Apple Intelligence features for the  Apple Watch Ultra and Apple TV set-top box. Apple’s notification summarization and Genmoji features are purportedly coming to the smartwatch, though the Sellers Research Group (that’s me) finds this hard to believe.
