New survey: Canadian consumers avoiding US tech amid tariff tensions

The IDC research group has released a new survey that shows that Canadian consumers are avoiding US tech amid tariff tensions.

This isn’t good news for Apple or any tech firm: the IDC research group has released a new survey that shows that Canadian consumers are avoiding US tech amid tariff tensions.

The survey reveals Canadians are galvanized in their response to US tariffs and the current Canada/US political climate, with the majority of Canadian consumers avoiding US technology products and services, including significant avoidance of Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellite Internet.

Most Canadians are also concerned about future spending due to tariffs and economic conditions and are delaying purchases of devices or switching to cheaper brands, cheaper models or used devices, according to IDC
