Google CEO wants Gemini AI to be used in upcoming Apple devices

Google hopes to enter an agreement with Apple by the middle of this year to include its Gemini AI technology on new Apple devices.

Google hopes to enter an agreement with Apple by the middle of this year to include its Gemini AI technology on new Apple devices, CEO Sundar Pichai said in testimony at an antitrust trial today, reports Reuters.

Gemini, formerly known as Bard, is a generative artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Google. Based on the large language model (LLM) of the same name, it was launched in 2023 in response to the rise of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. It was previously based on the LaMDA and PaLM LLMs.

A LLM (large language model) is a type of machine learning model designed for natural language processing tasks such as language generation. They’re used in a wide range of applications, including chatbots, content creation, translation, and more.

Pichai wants to see Gemini incorporated into upcoming versions of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.
