Apple Studios wins bidding war for ‘Foster the Snowman’ holiday family film

Apple Studios

Apple Studios has won a bidding war and will pay US$1.6 million against around $3 million for “Foster the Snowman,” reports Deadline.

Apple won the deal over rival streamers Netflix and Amazon MGM for the “high concept family film” that the tech giant hopes will become a holiday perennial movie in the vein of “Elf,” “Home Alone,” and “It’s A Wonderful Life,” the article adds. “Foster the Snowman” will reportedly get a fast track, with an eye toward Christmas 2026

Here’s how the film is described: A childless couple take an accelerated journey through every parenting milestone when they’re forced to adopt an adorable snowman, whose whole magical life will play out in just 72 hours.
