Apple is preparing a major shake-up for the iPhone’s 20-year anniversary in 2026, including a foldable version and a bold new Pro model that makes more extensive use of glass, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurmany says in his latest “Power On” Newsletter.
The foldable iPhone is the rumored “iPhone Fold.” It’s rumored to have a foldable screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio on the inner display and metallic galls (amorphous metal) for its hinge mechanism.

As for an “iPhone Glass,” Gurman offers no details except that it will, well, use more glass. Of course, Apple’s original design guru, Jony Ive, originally pictured the smartphone as appearing like a “single slab of glass.” And Apple has filed for an/or been granted various patents for devices with all glass covers.
