Apple CEO Tim Cook honors the late Pope Francis in X post

Following the announcement of Pope Francis’ death at 88 this Easter Monday, Apple Tim Cook was among those who honored the late pontiff.

In a post on X, Cook wrote: “Joining people around the world in mourning Pope Francis today. He lived a life of extraordinary grace and deep compassion. May he rest in peace.”

According to USA Today, Pope Francis died of a stroke and irreversible heart failure. Cardinal Kevin Farrell, who oversees the pope’s affairs, announced his death from Casa Santa Marta, where Francis lived at the Vatican. A funeral date has not been announced, but the Vatican said it would likely take place between Friday and Sunday.
