ViewSonic Corp. has begun shipping its ColorPro VP2788-5K desktop monitor for use with Macs and PCs.
The 27-inch desktop monitor features 5K (5120×2880) resolution, an “exceptionally high: pixels-per-inch, and a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut, according to Jeff Muto, business line director at ViewSonice. With Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, the monitor provides ultra-fast data transfer and up to 100W charging through a single cable. It also supports the daisy chaining of up to two 5K monitors for a continuous multi-display setup.
The VP2788-5K — which has a street price of US$799.99 — also comes with HDMI and DisplayPort options. An integrated USB-C and USB-A hub allows for connecting accessories and quick charging of an iPhone or iPad. The ergonomic stand allows users to customize height, tilt, and swivel.
