Apple has announced that it’s made itsTap to Pay feature available on iPhone in Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Hungary.

This allows millions of sellers to use iPhone to accept contactless payments. The Tap to Pay feature on iPhone, working with payment services, app developers, and payment networks, makes it easier for businesses of all sizes to accept contactless payments made using credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets, according to Apple. They only need an iPhone and an iOS partner application – no additional equipment or payment terminal is needed.

Tap to Pay on iPhone allows merchants to accept contactless payments through a compatible iOS app on iPhone Xs or later with the latest version of iOS. All you need to do is ask the seller to attach a contactless credit or debit card, iPhone or Apple Watch or other digital wallet to the seller’s iPhone, and the payment will be processed using NFC2 technology.
