A bigger iMac could happen, but it’s not a priority at Apple

A bigger iMac could happen, but it’s not a priority at Apple.

In his latest Power On newsletter (you can subscribe at bloomberg.com), Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says Apple may eventually release a bigger-than-24-inch iMac, but it’s not a priority for the company.

Apple discontinued the 27-inch iMac almost three years ago, offering only the 24-inch model. Gurman says that Apple will “probably eventually” get around to making a bigger model.

However, it might not be 27 inches. In late 2023, both Gurman and Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple was developing a 32-inch iMac for release in late 2024 or in 2025.

That hasn’t happened, but it still could at some point in the future (though the Sellers Research Group — that’s me — is doubtful).
