The US$69 Snap Grip Pro is a fantastic accessory for iPhone photographers/videographers. It’s a magnetic, snap-on mobile battery and grip.

I love to take family videos — and have my wife film Yours Truly playing softball, volleyball, basketball, etc. And the Snap Grip Pro makes it easy to get great videos.

Its curved, low profile design mimics the ergonomics of a camera, which makes it asymmetrical to grip it with a single hand. It’s easy to snap a pic or start filming a video by clicking the wireless shutter button, which is conveniently located under your index finger.

The 180-degree pivot system makes it easy to switch between landscape and portrait modes. With its 12.5 degree of angle, you can also use the Snap Grip Pro to watch movies and/or make video calls hands free.

It’s MagSafe compatible, so the Snap Grip Pro keeps your iPhone security attached. It’s compatible with iPhone 12 and later smartphones, and works with most MagSafe compatible phone cases.

But not only is the Snap Grip Pro a great accessory for photos and videos, it also has a built-in battery. The manual says it doubles your shooting time with Qi wireless charging. It didn’t quite double the battery time of my iPhone 16 Pro Max, but it did add about 70% more.

For those who like such things, here are the Snap Grip Pro specs:
