Next year’s “iPhone 17 Air” may not be as thin as Apple planned, according to the news aggregator account “yeux1122” on Naver — as noted by MacRumors.

As a result of technical/design issues, the ‌iPhone 17‌ Air’s battery won’t be able to be as thin as Apple first intended for the device’s new design, the report says. Now, the ‌iPhone 17‌ Air battery will purportedly be around 6mm thick, suggesting that the device itself will be thicker than this.

When it comes to the rumored iPhone Air, analyst Jeff Pu has aid that the slim iPhone 17 modewill have a 6.6-inch display, and an A19 chip manufactured with TSMC’s same 3nm process that is used for the A18 Pro chip.

He also expects the device to feature an aluminum frame, Face ID, a single 48-megapixel rear camera, a 24-megapixel front camera, and 8GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence.
