watchOS 11 has a Tap to Cash feature that allows you to send or receive Apple Cash by holding two iPhone or Apple Watch devices together. Apple says that, when money is transferred, it’s private—your phone number and email aren’t shared.

What you need

You and the person you’re sending money to or receiving money from must have the following:

° A compatible device with iOS 18 or later or watchOS 11 or later;

° Apple Cash set up

° A Wi-Fi or cellular connection

To send money using Tap to Cash on your Apple Watch

° Open the Wallet app, tap your Apple Cash card, then scroll down and select Tap to Cash.

° Enter the amount you want to send, then tap Next. (Within a 7-day period, you can send or receive a maximum of $2,000.)

° Double-click the side button to confirm.

° Hold your Apple Watch near another Apple Watch or iPhone.
