Apple purportedly plans a total redesign for the 2026 MacBook Pro

Apple plans a total redesign for its MacBook Pro in 2026. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says.

Apple plans a total redesign for its MacBook Pro in 2026. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says.

Among other things he expects the addition of an OLED display and a thinner design. As noted by 9to5Mac, Apple had previously made the MacBook Pros a little thicker when they just transitioned to Apple Silicon, but now it sounds like Apple will be reversing course on that.

Gurman expects that (no surprise) the 2026 MacBook Pro will pack a M6 processor. He thinks it will be built on the new 2nm process.

Gurman also mentions that the M6 chip will likely be built on the new 2nm process, bringing new display technology, a new design, and a big performance boost, all in one refresh.
