Mujjo makes some fine cases for Apple devices such as the iPhone. And it’s US$59 Shield Case is no exception.
I’ve been testing out one with the iPhone 16 Pro Max (the steel blue one, but it’s also available in black). The case doesn’t offer anything drastically different from other ones out there (I’ve tested so many iPhone cases that it’s hard to get excited about most of them), but it has a plethora of good features at a reasonable price.
The Shield Case offers decent protection for the iPhone. It has aImpactCore internal bumper (designed specifically for Mujjo), a rear camera bump for protecting the lens, a 1mm raised bezel to protect the camera screen from abrasive surfaces. All these features offer drop protection of up to 15 feet and a certification to the military standard MIL-STD-810 for durability. With that said, I’ll offer my usual disclaimer: I didn’t drop my iPhone 15 Pro Max from 15 feet (or, well, at all) to test this.
The design of the Shield Case — which, I appreciate, is made from recycled materials — is handsome. Made of Velore leather, it feels nice to touch and neatly covers the iPhone without blacking speakers or the charging port. Pronounced side cut-outs improve grippability. And the Mujjo case full supports Apple MagSafe.
There’s nothing revolution about the Shield Case, but it offers a good-looking, protective case for the iPhone at a reasonable price.
