Apple TV+’s ‘Platonic’ Adds ‘SNL’ Alums for its second season

Apple TV+’s comedy series “Platonic,” starring and executive produced by Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen, is staging a major “Saturday Night Live” reunion for Season 2, reports Deadline.

Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett, who spent years together on the NBC show, have been tapped for recurring roles on the series, from co-creators, directors and co-writers Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco.

About ‘Platonic’

Here’s how “Platonic” is described: It’s a half-hour comedy that explores the inner workings of platonic friendship. Here’s the summary: A pair of former best friends who met in their youth (played by Byrne and Rogen) reconnect as adults and try to mend the rift that led to their falling out. As their friendship becomes more consuming, it destabilizes their lives and causes them to reevaluate their choices.
