Privacy and security company Proton has launched two new features in Proton Pass: identities and biometric authentication.
Proton Pass now allows you to securely store and autofill personal information such as names and addresses (including organization, street address, zip code, and city). In addition to these autofill capabilities, Proton Pass also supports expanded item storage for contact numbers, email addresses, social security numbers, passport numbers, license numbers, websites, social media handles, and custom fields.
For users on Pass Plus and above, Proton Pass is also introducing biometric authentication for its Mac and Windows apps. Users can now utilize Touch ID and Windows Hello to unlock Proton Pass.
These new features are available starting today; with identities available for free, and biometric unlock for those on a Pass Plus plan and above. To find out more, visit proton.me/pass.
