It’s about time; Apple’s upcoming Macs may ship with at least 16GB of RAM

Apple’s upcoming M4-based RAMs expected to come with at least 16GB of RAM, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports in his latest “Power On” newsletter.

It’s about time. Apple still argues that 8GB of RAM is enough for most users, but a lot of folks (including me) thinks that’s ridiculous.

Gurman says the company  is testing four new Mac models equipped with an M4 chip, and all of them have either 16GB or 32GB of unified memory. Those are MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac. The latter is still expected to be offered in 24 inches only.

This info from Gurman is from the free edition of “Power On”. If you like it, consider subscribing to Bloomberg.com—you’ll receive the newsletter earlier and get exclusive access to a Q&A section.
